The students are motivated to learn, energetic and excited to learn this curriculum. This is the first year this class has been taught and there is a wait list to get in the class. They are 8th graders, our "seniors" of middle school. Our school is always looking to find new avenues of learning for our students. By creating this class, we are tapping into the creative talents of the students. They will be learning to collaborate and co-exist with varying personalities and thought processes. Students will research, take charge of the project and then put details into print in the form of the annual yearbook. Students will also learn marketing, advertising skills and budgeting practices. Students will be exposed to journalism, digital photography, digital journalism and business practices which in turn opens their eyes to a variety of career options.
