Visual Art communicates deeper feelings, almost fully formed concepts on the tip of tongues and unspoken heart truths. It has the power to unite people, build communities and help individuals ask themselves hard questions and then express through visual creation what they really want to say. With your help, the students at my school will be empowered to move from studying subjects like art movements, ancient cultures, and art styles to creating personal artworks such as vibrant paintings, African masks and clay animal sculptures. The materials will aid in students creating but more importantly will facilitate growth in confidence, school community and personal expression.
