Children are naturally creative and love to build. They are natural engineers, designers, and scientists. Somewhere along the way, students lose opportunities to build and play. I would like to harness their natural creativity, and curiosity by providing STEAM building opportunities. I have purchased materials on my own for regular practice and special projects. I would love for my students to have additional tools and materials with which to experiment. Without these materials, my students will not have the exposure and opportunity they need to prepare them for 21st century careers. I have seen my students build amazing structures. Many students have begun a coding program, and all my students enjoy working on blended learning programs using the iPad. The biggest obstacle to STEM learning is access to materials, and exposure to content. These kits will support class projects, small group work, partner work, and independent learning.
