Last semester, the world was interrupted by a global pandemic and no one was prepared for the future of education. To say the least, my instruction was a work in progress and students definitely noticed my struggle with inadequate technology. The chromebooks issued by my school district made it impossible to download certain projects and activities and the constant incompatibilities with my technology created barriers that could have been avoided with a better piece of technology. This year, I would like to explore storytelling through various mediums with my students. This will include short stories, fables/folktales, screenplays, Greek and Norse mythology, etc. I would like to download software that would assist me in teaching my students formatting and structural details of compelling storytelling. I would also like to host scavenger hunts and escape rooms to make the virtual school year more engaging. This technology will facilitate a more enjoyable learning experience for my students and will aid me in teaching more efficiently.
