My students are diverse in race, skill set, and academic challenges. Several of my students come from challenging living situations but somehow they take it all in and find ways to deal with it. What I like most about my students is their individual drive as scholars. They come everyday willing to learn how to be better students, better news anchors, better reporters and better news producers. What I find amazing about the students that I teach is the fact that the strength of my program is this year's freshman class. My freshman are willing to stay after school for extra work and learn the information that the upperclassmen know. We have been at a disadvantage this year in a school where the video production department is new and lacks equipment. My students never complain and believe in making the best out of every situation. I love them with all my heart.
