Last year, I experimented with seating options for my energetic 3rd hour students. I found a used yoga ball at a consignment store and assigned it to my most 'fidgety' student. The experiment was a complete success! Not only was he able to focus more, he also inspired many of my other students to want to try the flexible seating, as well. I encouraged my students to bring in those yoga balls collecting dust in their garage or at grandma's house. We ended the year with 12 yoga balls and rotated seating each day. My students loved it! I am hoping to seat my entire classroom this year with yoga balls and give each one of my students the opportunity to focus their excess energy AND their minds!
