I teach a wonderful group of very special and unique boys. All my students are students with Autism. There are various ages and abilities in my classroom but each one of my students brings his own unique personality and talents to our classroom and school community. Despite their disabilities, my students are all hard working and have many unique abilities that need to be explored and nurtured. Many of them demonstrate a good command of technology and are able to express their knowledge, within many content areas, using different types of classroom tools. This has also allowed me to explore the development of their 21st century skills and use this platform to prepare them for their academic careers. It has also allowed me to find individual student strengths and meaningful ways for them to connect with my instruction. Our school community is a positive place where my students are thriving and succeeding both as members of our class and as members of a larger group of children.
