The safe spectrum tubes will allow students to fully solidify that each element is different on more levels than just different number of protons. Student develop the misconception that the only difference between elements on the periodic table are number of protons and their names. Spectrum tubes will allow students to see that each element puts off different waves of light. My student leave in a city of high light pollution therefore not able to view the wonders of the night sky. Since my students can't see the night sky clear, I would like to bright a little bit of the night sky into my classroom.
