My students are from a small town and a small school with about 500 students. Most come from families that work in our small rural town or in surrounding areas. They are creative, inquisitive, and excited to learn new things! I teach a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, Math) curriculum, where my students get Art projects that also go along with their lessons in Math and Science! They LOVE to mix Science and Math together with my curriculum! My program has thrived with this new direction! We are a big fans of Maker Spaces, where students are given a task and have to create a project based on it. 3D projects are by far the favorite! Anything that they can put together to create something new is a win in my classroom! We are also a 1:1 school which means my students each have an iPad or a Macbook that they bring to Art class. They love technology! My students will be the innovators for tomorrows world!
