The requested items are crucial for the safety of our students/players. Batting helmets and cleats are fundamental in injury prevention. More often than not, we play other teams who are more in depthly funded with safety equipment and training materials. Every season, I am in the position of buying cleats and other necessities that our students/players are unable to afford. Additionally, as trivial as it may sound, for our team to have matching bags/equipment does wonders when playing teams who are heavily funded. The power of looking like a team works wonders for our girls' confidence. They are an outstanding group of girls, who deserve to feel equal to all teams.
