My students have been interested in different growing methods. Methods they have experienced are the traditional growing in soil and the wicking method. This year they are interested in learning and experiencing hydroponic systems. The students have investigated different hydroponic growing systems and decided on two models a hydroponic/aeroponic system and the kracky method. Incorporating STEAM concepts, students design their ideal systems that will include thoroughly understood hydroponics concepts, combined with artistic creativity. Students decide the hydroponic system location, whether it is their school, classroom, or on top of a building in a large city. Students will use their imagination to construct their ideal system.
