I teach preschool-aged children with severe Autism. Most of my students are completely non-verbal and unable to communicate their needs, feelings or what they are thinking. This creates frustration for them which can escalate to undesirable behaviors. The children are very sweet -- they simply do not have a way of communicating. Our elementary school has all grade levels of Special Education and the rest of the school is very involved in trying to include all of our Special Needs children in all activities and programs.
