We are a special education classroom in a charter school. The classroom consists of students with autism, anxiety, medical needs. In many of the students' IEPs which there is a need for sensory materialsto be provided throughtout the day to help give the input they need to work successfully. A few of the students have just learned to put their thoughts into complete sentences. We are also learning that we must talk in sentences so that others know what we want, need, or are trying to express. All the skills taught to other students are so much more difficult for us, because we have to be taught each step individually to learn. It is hard for us to generalize our skills so it takes us a little longer to learn, but we sure make everyone proud with each step we accomplish!
