It's no secret that the last several years have had a lasting effect on the students we see in our classrooms. Studies have shown that movement can increase student learning and encourage communication in the classroom. Many students, after at-home learning due to the pandemic, have struggled with adjusting back to the classroom. Now, more than ever, my students need a way to move as they learn and work. The wobble seats and chair bands are a great way to allow students to wiggle and move while not distracting others around them.
With the varied quantity and quality of education during the pandemic, there is no doubt that student learning gaps have occured. One important way to begin filling these gaps is to offer stimulating, engaging, and fun activities that will challenge students to problem solve and think critically. Students in my classroom enjoy challenging activities that encourage problem solving and critical thinking. Learning this way makes a lasting impact on their future. The logic and strategy games will encourage students to work through difficult and challenging activities in a fun way. These games can be played with peers or individually to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and other viruses.
