Many of my students are dyslexic, and need help completing the reading and writing assignments from every content area. They must be able to pass 3 literacy based NY State Regents exams: ELA, US History and Global History. Many have dyscalcula, and struggle to pass the required math Regents. There is so much assistive technology available, but not to these students. The school tries its best, but with budget cuts it is impossible to supply each student with what they need. The school's computers are old, cracked, often unable to handle the assistive technology available.
