My primary goal as an elementary librarian is to encourage the love of reading in my school. I want my students to be able to use the library for reading for pleasure, as well as, a classroom that promotes 21st century skills and AASL Standards. I hope to create a special corner for students to come in and read for pleasure as part of centers rotation, in addition to providing comfortable flexible seating for the days each class will work on enhancing their reading stamina. Bean bags for reading is an awesome way to create an inviting space where they can sink into a bean bag and read until their heart is content. Hopefully, the combination of bean bags and books helps to transform my students into bookworms! Your donation to my project will help provide comfortable flexible seating for my students while they endeavor to increase their reading stamina. Increasing a student’s reading stamina will also improve their academic achievement and raise their test scores. Which in turn, will set my students on the path to success!
