I have been the librarian here at List Elementary since January of 2003. I also worked at our public library for 8 years prior to my experience here. I LOVE READING and being able to see the same joy develop in younger students as they listen to stories and then learn to read on their own. This makes me quite positive that I have the best job in the world! All students -- Preschool through Fourth Grade -- visit the library on a fixed schedule each week. During their class they are able to check out books for their reading enjoyment. One of my objectives is to continually update, add to, and maintain a collection of materials that will enhance the school curriculum and specific units that teachers develop throughout the year. I also work at maintaining an enjoyable reading collection that will instill and continually further the love of reading in the students along with offering reading and reference materials for the students to use.
