I would love for my students to start the new year off with a warm and inviting space to share thoughts and ideas. The carpet is a special place in our classroom where everyone feels welcomed. This is where we meet for morning meeting to start off our day, reading and writing workshop mini lessons, where we share and explain our work with solving math problems, and where we encourage each other and build our classroom community. This carpet will have a lasting impact throughout the school year and in years to come! A new carpet would be a wonderful asset to our classroom! One that is bright and colorful will add life to our learning environment and the individual squares will help students with personal space. I hope to be able to provide this new space for our wonderful second grade students.
