The Chromebooks will allow my students to research and investigate various animals and places all while building on the English language and basic computing skills. Our library has a very limited amount of nonfiction emergent support readers that can support my English language learners. By incorporating PebbleGo and Epic!, my students will be able to also use the technology to support their reading and writing. The apps have “Read-to-Me” options that can read the information to my struggling readers. Since writing is the last developmental skill to be developed, my students will be able to use a dictation app as well to help them write the acquired information. This project will support English language learners in various ways, in their reading, writing, and research.
