My students are smart, motivated and enthusiastic learners. School is a safe, stable haven for many. They love school and learning! They motivate and inspire me everyday. All 100% of my students are on our school's free lunch and breakfast program. They come from struggling families, but they have shown me that they have the ability, drive and desire to rise above their circumstances and/or situations. They deserve as many opportunities as possible to better their education, themselves and ultimately their lives. Having access to quality, engaging, creative text is important. They can become stronger in their word skills, vocabulary, creativity and ultimately become better and more confident readers, writers and thinkers.
