My students face the challenge of living in a very low-income area. My parents work very hard at their jobs to provide for their families, try to learn English, and support the teachers at school. My kids just need some help. They need books, supplies, experiences, confidence, and opportunities. These kindergarten students amaze me every day with their smiles and effort even though they have very little of everything.
