I am a teacher taking over a classroom in the middle of the year. My students are working very hard to become proficient in 4th grade math. The new standards bring many challenges to these students. They struggle with new material but keep pushing on. This center materials such as an allowance game will be the real world into these students lives. The notebooks and other various supplies will allow students to have math journals where they can write about their mathematical learning and processing that is happening in the students minds. Please help us process our thoughts and experiences through math.
