My classroom is filled with tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. My room is one that puts reading and writing at the forefront and makes personal choice a component of as many units as possible. My students need to direct their learning in order to improve themselves and to create lifelong learners. Our school is very small and is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, just outside Houghton. We are a tight-knit community that supports each other inside and outside of the school building. We have a school population of hardworking, kind students.
