As a teacher I love teaching math using different strategies, including using technology. I use technology in my classroom to differentiate instruction, but to bring fun into the classroom as well. My students participate in online math competitions along with competing against each other in class using Gimkit and other math enhancement tools. Technology allows the students to learn in different ways and adds fun and rigor to the concepts being taught. A class set of Samsung tablets will allow all students in my class a chance to learn different math skills using technology. Having the tablets accessible in my classroom will allow ALL students, including those who do not own devices, to participate in technology-lead activities.
