My students are wonderful. They are creative, talented and eager to grow. Some come to school hungry, others need new shoes and clothes. Some live with grandparents, lots live in single parent households. The population can be transient with students coming and going with job or housing opportunities for their parents. Absence rates can be high and attitudes towards school are not always the highest importance. They are located in an area generally associated with lower income. Given the circumstances my students are amazing and do great things! The school is doing wonderful things with resources that are supplied. The teachers are friendly and work hard to provide positive learning environments to promote a safe and fun place that students look forward to attending. I work hard to create an environment full of stimulating opportunities.
