My class is an amazing group of 25 first graders at Somerset Academy public charter school in North Las Vegas. My students are a lively bunch who have recently discovered the joy and satisfaction that comes from reading a book and taking a comprehension quiz on the computer in the Accelerated Reader program. They are discovering the wonderful world of reading and I want them to continue to enjoy reading and get excited about the possibilities reading can have for them.

About my class
