I teach second grade reading at a Title 1 school. My students come from various backgrounds, but they are all reading below grade level expectations. My students love to talk about the things they like such as friends, family, pets, toys, and movies, but do not share the same enthusiasm for reading. I plan to help boost my students' excitement for reading by adding a library full of beginning reader books with exciting characters kids love!
