My first grade class includes 98% of English Language Learners and 2% proficient English speakers. This particular group of students were specially challenged as they started their first school year remotely. First grade has been a crucial year as they have tried to catch up on so much. They have all grown enormously but have so much more to learn. Although one of the most difficult things has been dealing with the social emotional piece, my scholars come to class motivated to engage in our learning.

About my class
