My students are under grade level in reading and are currently receiving a fluency intervention. Without personal cd players and timers, we are currently working in the library on computers. Although, this does the job it is not allowing them to grow at their full potential. The library has people in and out which causes great distractions to my students. Also, there are times when the library is not accessible due to meetings and classes. My students are ELL and have a hard time reading fluently with expression. This has impacted their reading skills and allowing them to comprehend what they are reading. The fluency program teaches them skills to use in everyday reading. It allows them to hear someone read with expression and fluency.
