The materials that I am requesting will support the implementation of a school wide composting project. The 5 gallon buckets will be used to collect food scraps during our three lunch periods. The flat shovels will be used by our environmental club members to break down the food scraps that will be placed in our composting bin. The wheelbarrow will be used to move the finished compost to flower and vegetable beds located on the school grounds. Hoses and nosels are needed to water our existing and future garden beds. These materials allow more of our students to be involved in a school wide and community environmental project and help them understand that our positive actions can achieve positive results. The environmental club has the support of our administration, school staff, parents, and student body. We now need the materials to make this project work. We appreciate any assistance we can get!
