My classroom is made up of students from very diverse backgrounds. They have a deep desire to learn and are highly motivated to succeed. I can honestly say they all have aspirations of graduating from college and being productive citizens. Our school resides in an urban part of the city and is nestled in a neighborhood composed mainly of apartment buildings. Due to this location, many local students are of lower socioeconomic status and fluctuate between living spaces. The school has three magnet programs. The magnet programs focus on science, teaching, and finance. These programs are populated by students from all over the city including students from the neighborhood.
