Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive. An uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student. During their independent time, it will allow them to move and feel more comfortable while completing a task. It also helps make learning fun. It creates a more relaxed environment. I am looking to provide different seating areas for them. For example, the Space Bubble Cushion will allow them to sit at a low table with the opportunity of movement while working. Also, Space Comfy Floor Seat will be perfect for them to sit on the floor comfortably and engage in small group discussions. The portable lap desk will be for those students that would like to just find a little corner where they feel comfortable to work without distractions. Finally, the clipboards will be utilized for small group instruction on the floor. These different types of seating will allow them to change their location and positions as needed. My students will be able to quickly and easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class and will feel motivated to engage in discussions.
