My students are awesome! Many come from other countries and must learn English before they are able to be successful in Advanced Placement Statistics. I love to hear about their goals and dreams. Many have high hopes to attend Ivy League universities- and a few of them will be able to do just that! I'm honored when a recent graduate comes back to talk to me after a year or two of college and thanks me for teaching them about statistics and how they've applied their learning at university. It's fantastic that our school has a dominant college-bound culture.
