I teach an upbeat group of 6th graders from a less fortunate community in Memphis, TN. My students do not get to do or experience much so every time they get new gadgets or experiences it excites them greatly. My school is part of a charter program that is dedicated to taking schools in the bottom 5% of the state and bringing them up. It is great to work with such dedicated teachers and students who strive to break a cycle they are currently apart of. My experience at this school makes me a better teacher.
