My school has a diverse population. My class of 24 third graders is comprised of native English speakers and English Learners. Students live in the community, or travel by school bus from long distances. The school is located in a densely populated neighborhood, surrounded by businesses, apartment buildings and private homes. The majority of students qualify for federally funded free breakfast and lunch programs. Student academic ability levels in the classroom range from learning disabled to gifted.
