My kids are truly wonderful. I have the privilege of teaching over 100 7th graders Social Studies each day. The community I am teaching in has been struck by poverty. 96% of my kids are living in these conditions and do not know where their next meal will come from. This breaks my heart to hear from one of my kids. I spend roughly 12 hours a day at the school because I am also a volunteer basketball coach. I take advantage of every second I can to be with them.
