My students are amazing! They are kind, compassionate, and considerate. I took this job initially because of the students I met while substituting. I think teachers dream of these kids. We have high academic expectations, beautiful scenery, and an amazing community. These students are actively involved in community groups, churches, and school athletics. Over 75% of our students take part in athletics, and we have a 70% free lunch program. They don't have a whole lot of material worth, but their hearts are pure gold. I would love to give them this chance to have a cozy place to read during silent reading day, or a place to stretch out during study hall. The students who attend our after school program will be able to use these as well. It offers a cozy place to sit while studying. They work so hard, I want to give them something back. They all mean the world to me, and I'm here because of them.
