The students at our school are truly amazing and many have overcome numerous obstacles just to attend school. They live in an area that has a very high level of poverty, violence and gang presence. They don't always have a stable home environment or positive role models at home but they continue to get themselves to school and apply themselves every day. We need to make sure they know what positive options they have so they choose the correct path in life. Our students outperform many other schools in the area and we want to continue to give them the skills they need not just academically but for their social and emotional needs also.

About my class
