"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -Nelson Mandela I have watched and learned so much from my students. 97% of the students at my school are living in poverty. School is often times their safe place away from the struggles and hardships them and their families deal with at home on a day to day basis. As a teacher, it is my job to create a classroom community that allows my students to achieve not only academically, but also socially and emotionally while giving them an outlet to break down their barriers. I believe that by creating a positive learning environment with a growth mindset my students can and will achieve great things.
