My students are hard working enthusiastic learners. The interest level is high for a Robotics Club. Our 4th and 5th grade students are mostly Hispanic and they live in an urban environment. They enjoy Hour of Code lessons and my students would benefit from more hands on activities. The robotics club will help the students learn critical STEM skills to help them flourish in high school and college. My students have a high interest in the STEM fields and they are excited to learn such challenging things in the science and math fields like engineering, programming, and problem solving. A Robotics Club would be a safe place for them to feel included while learning valuable job skills that would help them gain more confidence with problem solving skills. In addition, the students will be able to use the skills they learn in the Robotics Club to help them be successful in high school and college.
