My wonderful kindergarten cuties are energetic and eager to learn new and exciting things. They have a curiosity that allows them to approach new challenges with confidence. My students get excited about getting their hands on something new. Our classroom is made up of a diverse group of 5 and 6 year olds that are performing at a variety of different levels. I work very hard to develop lessons that are both fun and engaging for all of my learners. Having STEM materials in our classroom would provide an additional teaching tool to meet the needs of each and every one of my shining stars. In addition, having hands-on materials in the classroom provides learning opportunities that some students may not have at home.
