I have the amazing opportunity to teach art to over 300 wonderful young artists at a public school in San Francisco's Mission District. My students range in age from Kindergarten to 6th Grade and all are learning a second language at our Spanish/English dual immersion school. These amazing young people inspire me daily with their delightful artwork, and their energy and enthusiasm for art making. I am working hard to develop our K-5 visual arts program. This year I was able to get a dedicated space for our K-5 art program and have been busy figuring out ways to develop the raw space, an unused locker room, into a welcoming art classroom.

About my class
