My second graders live in Baltimore city, and a large number of them are English Language Learners. All students are low-income and do not have all the supplies necessary to live up to their highest potential throughout the school year. Our school is very old and my classroom does not currently have air conditioning, making it extremely hard for students to stay focused throughout the entire school day.
