I am very excited and nervous to be a new teacher this year. I went into my classroom and found that I do not have any materials ready for student use the minute they come in. I am requesting anchor chart paper to have it ready for small group cooperative work and smelly markers to go with it. Students need sturdy, reliable pencils that last longer without the need to keep sharpening. The dry-erase markers will be used during whole group and small group work. The wooden paper/pencil organizer and black plastic caddies are for student material organization. Keeping students organized is a skill students lack. This will surely help in class.
