My students have so much energy as 5 and 6-year-old kids! Due to COVID circumstances, they have spent most of their childhood inside. I want to ensure their first experiences in school are exciting and stimulating. These crafts and center activities will ensure that my students stay engaged and HAPPY! I want my students to be able to socialize with others while rotating in center groups! These mathematics and reading centers fulfill many of my students' emotional learning needs, as well as academic standards! The items that I have chosen ensure success in many reading/language standards including LK1, RFK1, and RFK3. The math standards that these items will help with are K.CCA1, K.CCA3, and K.CCB4. I feel very lucky to hopefully have the opportunity to enrich my students' lives through the kindness of others. I know these centers and activities will help them become social, create friendships and increase their knowledge of very important kindergarten topics.
