In my classroom, reading is a priority. I would like to allow each of my students to read on the level that they are on. Furthermore, I would like to increase their reading levels when they are ready. Our Science book is wonderful. However, the reading needs of my students are not being met by simple reading what the Science book has to say. I would like to have a set of Science Leveled Readers in my classroom so that I could allow each of my students to be on the appropriate level that they should while learning about the wonderful world of Science. This would not only increase their love for science, but it would also give them practice on the reading skills they need to learn to be successful students in school. These Leveled Science Readers would enable my students to enjoy science the way it was meant to be enjoyed. They would no longer have to read just the Science Book. I believe my students would become more independent and confident when it comes to reading and STEM if I had a set of Science Leveled Readers in my classroom.
