My classroom is an ESL classroom in a high poverty, urban district. The students in my class have been placed there because English is not their primary language. Therefore, they come from many different countries. Their languages, cultures and educational backgrounds are all different; however, once inside the classroom, we are all the same. We have the same goal, to help each other learn and become proficient in the English language.
