Standing desks, wobble chairs, and lap desks will give my students the freedom to work in a way that suits them. Last year I had a student that wanted to stand the entire day. Since I only had regular desks, he had to lean over to do his work. A standing desk is better for posture, comfort, and ease of writing. Some students just need to move a little while they work. The wobble chair allows them to rock and write. The lap desks are great because students can sit on the floor to write without leaning against a wall or slumping over. I want students to be able to focus on their writing instead of an uncomfortable chair.
