My school offers students challenging academic programs for students. There is the Highly Gifted Magnet, the Biology Magnet, and the School for Advanced Studies. These programs are designed for students who are focused on getting into a good college, and most of my students participate in one of these programs. They see my classroom as their home on campus. Students are often spirited, kind, and enjoy learning together. Students often become very close in both the band and orchestra classes as a result of the many hours they spend together in and out of class.
