I have a diverse group of seventh graders in a larger public school district. While this district is considered urban, we get students from all backgrounds. The students here make up an amazing community where everyone strives to work together to develop knowledge and then apply that knowledge to their own lives. My students are learners. They are inquirers. They are adventurous academic risk-takers that are constantly saying "why" in a world that does not always answer back. This is a group of students that understands the role of history, and they crave to know more about what other people have gone through and how those actions have an effect on us today. We are historians!

About my class
